Constance DeJong is an artist, writer and performer, producing fiction texts and language/image based work for performance and theater, audio and video installations. She has permanent audio installations in Beacon, NY, London and Seattle. DeJong has twice collaborated with Tony Oursler on live performances; was a collaborator on Super Vision, A Builders Association production (2005); librettist for the opera, Satyagraha, composer Philip Glass. Her first book, Modern Love, has been re-issued by Primary Information/Ugly Duckling Presse, Spring 2017. A recent series of audio works— modified vintage radios – programmed to play spoken word performances of new texts, 2016-18; exhibited at Art Basel, 601 Gallery, McEvoy Foundation for the Arts, SF. NightWriters, a new multi-part work, includes a digital project to be published April 2018 with Triple Canopy; drawings and audio works exhibited at Bureau Gallery, April-May 2018.
